about

Melodic, edgy, riffy rock!! That is what Chaos Theory is all about! Lyrically this song points a middle finger square in the face of those who use organized religion as a way to exploit others, and those who feel the need to thrust their beliefs on others. It's based on an incident vocalist Rock Johnson encountered as a teenager while on his way to work he was stopped by this unassuming couple handing out pamphlets on their religion.

"I respectfully declined their offer and kept walking by, then they grabbed my arm jerking me around and telling me I NEED to read this... If there is one thing people should never do to me is to tell me what to think and believe, I spend a lot of man hours figuring it out on my own and it's a rewarding experience. It was probably one of the best rants I ever went on in my life wish it was on video." ~ Rock Johnson

lyrics

Save Yourself
- R. Johnson/A. Coulstring/T. Garagan

Hey,
So you think you can take me?
Wanna sit and debate me?
Well I ain't got the time
Stop trying to save me
Kneel down while you praise me
It's me that you envy
An this you can't deny

Hey!
Nothing left to say?
Covering?
A cowards way
How do you live with your shame

Hey!
Nothing left to say?
Covering?
A cowards way
Is this how you live with your shame

Ohhh
You're delusional and you should save yourself
It's true you know
You're delusional and you should save yourself

Quit praying for my soul
I've long ago let go
Paving the long road
To how I'll say goodbye
Unafraid
Of you God or of your hell
Judging life is a hard sell
To the other side

Hey!
Nothing left to say?
Covering?
A cowards way
How do you live with your shame
Hey!
Nothing left to say?
Covering?
A cowards way
Is this how you live with your shame

Ohhh
You're delusional and you should save yourself
It's true you know
You're delusional and you should save yourself

Solo

Ohhh
You're delusional and you should save yourself
It's true you know
You're delusional and you should save yourself
What do you know
You're delusional and you should save yourself
Nothing personal
You're delusional and you should save yourself
